I remember the year 2009 when I started to love Tumblr. It is a microblogging site and social network start-up that lets you post personal blog articles and trendy photos. As any teenager tech wanderer in the early 2000's, I created my own space in the website where I can share my musings, favorites, and random nonsensical things. I can't remember my blog site name but it's something like, "www.tumblr.com/chamchammbumbumm". Yes, super pa bebe! Not sure if the site still works but trust me, uwa gd it pueos and gina shinare idto before (it's all useless stuff I share before).

My content was more inclined to anything nice in my eyes (very general, I know!), be it in fashion, food, movies, personal experiences, etc. I never had a niche, so whatever "nice things" I see, I repost it, re-blog it, or make another content out of it. My love for Tumblr eventually died out around 2012 where I got busy with school work and other priorities.

Fast forward when I started working professionally, blogging never really came back into the picture. I was actually in the creative field but it never occurred to me to

relive it again. For a quick backgrounder, I started as an Advertising Officer for a finance and trade company, then became a Segment Producer/Marketing Executive for a local TV channel and then finally bagging a corporate position as a Communications officer, then eventually, had been promoted as a supervisor and Creatives Team Lead for a real estate corporation. For 6 years, I had been in this exciting corporate world of art, public relations, communications, advertising, events and so much more!

Mayad gani wa matang naubusan it creative juices! (good thing I never run out of creative juices).

And then personal goals were ticked off one by one too! I got pregnant with my eldest in 2015, then had my second baby in 2019. I married the love of my life in 2020. So now it's 2021 and we're going into the last quarter of this year, why on earth would I randomly decide to go back to blogging and creative content? It has been 12 loooong years!

To tell you the reason why, it has a lot to do with being a Work-From-Home Mom. I started being a virtual/remote freelancer in 2019. A virtual worker or freelancer is someone who does professional work online. That means I work for companies that have a remote work setup, especially with companies outside the Philippines. Me and the companies I work for talk regularly online to make sure tasks are done - a bit of a bizarre thing when I started out but it actually works effectively well for both parties. Me being a freelancer for 3 years now, I focused more on projects that are not really in my usual scope in the creative field. I did admin work, client services, and writing technical niches. I immersed myself in a new space where I was not really that familiar with, but I know I can thrive in it. So now, my creative hunger is calling and I need an avenue to vent out the ideas that I have been long keeping for 3 years. And here we are now, blogging and doing creative content!

And to tell you frankly, I am very very much happy to be in the creative scene again! It may not be a big step but I am putting up, little by little, contents and posts that I am very much excited to share with you all! I know it's a challenge to keep a blog rolling, manage a personal page, take care of two tiny humans and juggle my virtual freelance work - but this is where I am happy and I know that my family and friends will support me in this journey. So I hope you are excited about my future content and you'll see more of me in my creative personality in this digital space!

Till the next blog post! <3
